Book Keeping | Self-Assessment | VAT

Your business needs up-to-the-minute, accurate bookkeeping. At DMP, we can deal with your bookkeeping at the same time as having your records ready for HMRC audit. We keep you up to date on all the rules and regulations, including keeping records such as invoices, bank statements, returns and tax computations separate from your private records and holding onto them for five years (self-employed) or six years (company).

Company directors; self-employed individuals and those with external income must submit an annual Self-Assessment. The deadline for returns is strict – 31st January with penalties for late submissions, even if no tax is owed. We believe in making sure all this is done – on time.

When the designated threshold is exceeded you need to be VAT Registered; charge the tax (where applicable) to clients; collect it on behalf of HMRC and submit correct computations and amounts. Not registering for VAT means you will have to pay it retrospectively even though you haven’t collected it from your customers. All in all, the whole VAT thing can be another business headache you could well do without.

We offer complete pain relief by dealing with all of the above, with a cost effective, personable service.
